I made this highly detailed “3D” shaded map of North Svalbard in Photoshop. Using topographical data from a Tactical Pilot’s Chart I coloured each elevation in layers and blended them using a brush, adding the glaciers and shading using the dodge and burn tools.
This map was used as a background for a tour map for the adventure travel company Explore Worldwide.
